Hello friends… In this blog post, I am going to show to how to unlock the Huawei E5375 (Blu 4G) mobile router. The Huawei E5375 mobile router is a 4G mobile router that supports 4G bands and frequencies of 3/20/38/39/40 (FDD 1800/2600MHz & TDD 1900/2300/2600MHz). In Ghana this will work on Blu 4g LTE, Busy 4G LTE and Surfline 4G LTE but not on MTN 4G. MTN 4G operates on Band 20, Frequency 800 mhz.
Please note that this procedure has worked on all Huawei E5375 mobile router I have unlocked. Dont skip any step and you are responsible for your device so please follow carefully.
Things you will need include the following:
1. USB cable
2. Firmware and WebUI of router
3. A PC running Windows 7 to 10
4. Unlock Codes and Flash Codes
Step One: You need to download both the firmware and WEB UI of the device. I have done that already and made the files available via this link.
Step Two: Generate the unlock and flash code for the device. Use the 15 digit IMEI to generate your unlock and flash code from this site.
Step Three: Insert a different SIM card into the device and connect via the USB cable to the PC. Install the software that come with it. This is very important. Ensure that the device is recognized by the PC.
Step Four: After installing the software a web browser opens automatically where you access the router. If it doesnt, open a web browser and type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1.
Step Five: Insert the Unlock code into the and click apply
After you have applied, the page reloads to the homepage. Here, depending on the SIM in the device you will see no network or if its a compatible 4G network you will see the new network. If its a 3G network then read on.
Step Six: You need to flash the firmware and the WEB UI to enable to have access to the setting where you can switch between 4G and 3G. By default this option is disable. To enable it you must flash the the WEB UI onto the router. I recommend that you also flash the firmware so as not to have any network issues.
Open the flash files you downloaded earlier and flash the device.
Click start to begin the flashing of the firmware and wait patiently until the process is complete. Enter the flash code generated when prompted.
Click start to begin the flashing of the WEB UI and wait patiently until the process is complete.
After completion you will be able to change the network type or select auto. In my case I selected 3G because vodafone isnt on 4G LTE yet.
